Sales tax
Sales tax is collected on all orders shipped to California. The current state sales rate is 7.25%. We pay the additional 1.5% district tax on shipments to Los Angeles County so Los Angeles residents do not need to remit the district tax to the California State Board of Equalization.

Shipping
We ship Priority Mail, U.S. Postal Service ("USPS") for delivery in 2-3 days. We normally ship within two days of receiving your order (including Saturdays). We also ship UPS Ground Service. The earring holders are shipped assembled, although we remove some of the horizontal racks from the earring holders before shipping. We may ship large orders via FedEx Home service. We normally ship the double-deckers assembled. However, if we are shipping a double-decker overseas, or you require more than one double-decker to be shipped to the same address, we may ship the units disassembled to minimize damage and shipping costs. Approximate assembly time is two minutes and requires an ordinary Phillips head screwdriver. International Shipping
Please email us so that we can provide you with a shipping quote. We ship to Europe using the Priority Mail International service of the U.S. Postal Service. Shipping costs vary -- for example, to England it is costing about US$35-39 for shipping one earring holder or one necklace holder.

Canada
We currently ship to Canada using UPS standard services. Shipping averages about $15 (U.S. dollars). The recipient is responsible for broker's fees, the Goods and Service Tax (GST), any Canadian Provincial Sales Tax (PST) or Quebec Sales Tax (QST) and other fees, including disbursement fees. Some or all of these may not apply if your purchase is a gift.

If you prefer, we can also send via the Priority Mail International service of the U.S. Postal Service. While the initial shipping charge is higher than UPS, it appears that the broker's fees and other associated costs might be lower.

Taxes, broker's fees, customs fees, duties and other fees may be imposed on international orders. Generally, based on our research, our products seem to be exempt from duties. However, we give quotes on UPS and USPS shipping only and the customer is responsible for any other charges upon receipt of the merchandise. Please avoid unpleasant surprises by being aware of the duties and other fees imposed in the country receiving your order.

Our guarantee and return policy
Woodwitch earring, necklace, accessory and key chain holders are designed to last a lifetime and we think they are an excellent value made with quality materials and skilled workmanship.  But if for any reason you are not satisfied, please let us know.  We will gladly replace any unit or refund your money, including the original shipping fees as well as the cost of postage to return the item. We've tried to make returns easy. See our returns page for details.

How to order

To order online, click the "order" button next to the item you wish to buy. You can order from the individual product description pages (indicated by the tabs at the top of each page). Or from the online order page, which lists all our products.

Canceling or changing an order
If you need to cancel or change your order, send us an email at or call us. If we haven't sent you an email notifying you that we've mailed the unit, we can probably cancel the order without your credit card being charged. If you change your mind regarding the size or type of holder, let us know, and we'll cancel the order and you can reorder online or by phone, fax or mail.  If you change your mind regarding the color, but still want the same size/model, we may be able to change your order without requiring you to reorder.


Gift wrapping and special handling
At the moment we don't have an option for gift wrapping. But if this is a gift, let us know and we'll leave the printed receipt out of shipping carton. We will gladly include any message you wish to send the recipient. If you're ordering online, the form has a box for "other notes or instructions." We try to accommodate all sorts of special needs, from leaving the name Woodwitch off the shipping package to including birthday cards.

You can pay by personal check, money order, cashier's check or credit card. We accept American Express, Discovery/Novus, Mastercard, Visa, Diners Club, Carte Blanche and JBC.

How does the online ordering process work?
  • First, if you entered your email address when ordering, within a few minutes of ordering you will receive an automatic email confirmation that we've received your order.
  • We receive a similar email and then physically double-check to make sure we haven't sold out of the item you ordered. While we constantly update our website to reflect current inventory, it sometimes happens that two or more people order the last of some item so close together that we don't have a chance to update the website.
  • After verifying the earring or necklace holder's availability, we will send you an email to let you know when we will ship your order. We send these emails out within a few hours of receiving your order.
  • We often state the shipping time as a two-day period (e.g., "we will ship your order today or tomorrow"). Most of the time we ship on the first day.
  • Although the original email receipt you received will say "PAID," we do not charge your credit card until the day we are ready to ship your order.
  • Finally, usually late at night after we've shipped your order, we will send you a final email confirming that your order has shipped.

You may print the webpage showing your order or use the email as a receipt.

Are online transactions secure?
We use a secure server for credit card transaction processing. The shopping-cart software runs in Secure Mode on the your browser, using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to encrypt sensitive data such as credit card numbers. While selecting products and adding them to the Shopping Cart, you'll be in a Non-Secure Mode. After you press the Purchase button, the site switches to Secure Mode in order to collect the billing and shipping information. All modern Web browsers support the SSL standard. If it does not work on your browser, please order by phone, fax or mail.

Your browser may help you verify the use of a secure server. In Netscape Navigator 4.0 and later, the normally open padlock icon closes. (The padlock is in the bottom left-hand corner of the browser window.) In Netscape Navigator 3.0 and earlier, the key icon in the lower left corner of the browser, which is normally broken, is made whole. If you're using Microsoft Internet Explorer, a closed padlock will appear in the bottom right-hand corner of the browser window. In Internet Explorer 8, the closed padlock is just to the right of the address bar. Clicking the padlock with reveal additional information regarding the security of the page. The URL of a secure webpage begins with "https" indicating the information you enter will be encrypted before it is sent to the server.
